Prophecy Update 2012-07-08

Notes Additional file Play

-I’ve really been looking forward to the resuming of our Prophecy Updates after having been on my yearly staycation for the last couple of weeks. -In retrospect, I don’t think I could have ever chosen a worse time to be gone with all that’s happened prophetically on the geopolitical landscape. -I would have been in trouble with more than a few people if the rapture would’ve happened while I was gone, but, then it wouldn’t be a problem.

I got a kick out of one of our Facebook friends comments when she posted; “I cannot wait for him to get back. OMG, WWlll is about to start, the Rapture is about to take place and he picks now to take vacation! Hahahahaha, we miss you J.D. Come back soon or see ya in the air!!!!!”

-Well, we’re still here, for how long we don’t know and can’t know, so how about we occupy until He comes and continue to preach the Gospel! -Like never before in human history, the time is now to snatch as many people out of the fires of hell while there’s still time, before it’s too late. -If you were to ask me what one of the main reasons is we started doing these weekly prophecy updates six years ago, this would have to be it.

-Simply put, it’s to know Him, and make Him known in this last hour as our redemption draws nigh seeing all these things begin to come to pass. -My hope has always been and is still that these prophecy updates would reach our Jerusalem Judea Samaria to the uttermost parts of the earth. -It seems that God, in spite of us, has deemed it fit to use this small obscure church here in Kaneohe to do just that, and we can’t take the credit.

-So for today’s update, and because so much has happened in my absence from the pulpit, I’m going to need about three hours to cover it all. -Actually, and maybe surprisingly, we won’t take as long as I know some of you would want me to take, this because, we’re already on top of it. -What I mean by that is, when the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohammed Mursi won the presidency in Egypt’s elections all of you turned to Isaiah 19.

-When the situation in Bashar Al Assad’s Syria went from bad to worse and from Homs to Damascus, all of you went back to Isaiah chapter 17. -When the news broke that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s Iran now has the capability of launching a missile into Israel you all think of Ezekiel 38. -When Iran says Israel must vanish from the world, not only do you think of Ezekiel 38, you think of Psalms 83, which may very well happen first.

-If you’ll indulge me for just a brief moment, I’ll give you a smattering of recent headlines most of which you’re likely aware of and even privy to.

-The common denominator in all of these breaking news stories is that they are exactly, and precisely, what prophecies predicted would happen. -By the way, all these are just from the last two weeks, and I spent an enormous amount of time combing through them so as to condense them. -One might ask whether or not it’s always been like this, and all I can say is no way, and I have been studying Bible prophecy for about 30 years.

-Here’s why I say this, and here’s where I’m going with this, if this all happened in just the last two weeks, what does the next two weeks hold? -Please keep in mind, we haven’t even discussed how the US is burning to the ground literally, nor have we discussed our plight economically. -So as to offer some perspective, consider this; we could go to bed one night and wake up the next day to a world that’s never the same again.

Please turn to Hebrews 10:25 “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

-It’s on the runway of Hebrews 10:25 that I’ll bring today’s prophecy update in for a landing, as we take a closer look at this astonishing verse. -First, notice that the writer of Hebrews exhorts the reader to not give up the assembling together as some were developing the habit of doing. -The reason I point this out is because that seems to be the very thing that some are doing as they grow weary and become leery of the rapture.

-Second, instead of the bad habit of not assembling together in church, we can develop the good habit of encouraging one another at church. -Third, notice we’re even told why it is that we need to be doing this, because we are seeing the Day approaching, but we know not the hour. -Finally, I want to draw your attention to this key word concerning this Day that’s approaching. The key word is “see.” The question is “what.”

-Namely, what is it that we are supposed to see that will prove that the Day is approaching? Answer? All these things that we're now seeing. -What are we seeing? Syria falling, Israel prospering, Iran threatening, Russia posturing, America declining, Europe rising, and Islam dominating. -Could today be the day? It most certainly can be so, for the Bible tells me so! If you’re excited, great! If your not, you must call on the Lord now!

Romans 10:13 NKJV For "WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED."
